I'm a documentary film maker and HVX200 owner. I am interested in buying a lighting kit for on camera interviews and I'm not sure whether to go with Litepanels or Kinoflo.

Would love to hear some feedback. Which would be better to go with Kinoflo or Litepanels?

What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? I was looking for lights that are dimmalbe and don't give off too much heat. That's why I looked into Litepanels, but I see that a lot of people use Kinoflo, so I'm not sure which to choose.

Thanks very much in advance,

- Nicholas

I have both and they each are quite flexible. But for on-camera use the LitePanel is the ticket.

Nick,

Why don't you tell us what you want to do with the lights.

The Kino Kamio is going to be nice and soft, great for pretty girls and boys, but not easily portable, primarily because the ring clamps on and is pretty easy to knock off. The litepanels are easier to use and more multipurpose without the softer asthetic.
