Scene File settings

I'm working on my scene file genie and there are a lot of problems I'm trying to figure out. One thing is the fact that menues and options change according to the different settings and recording modes the camera is set to, but another is the fact that my camera seems to have different settings than others. For instance - in the "Matrix" settings I have:

NORM1
NORM2
FLUO
CINE-LIKE

But some seem to have:

NORM
ENRICHED
FLURO
CINE-LIKE

Does anyone know if this is a firmware issue (I'm running 2.02) or an issue with HVX model (mine is a PAL - HVX200E)?

Hey Tony,

just checked my HVX(Pal 200E, bougth in april 2006 and no firmawareupdate so far..) and i find exactly the same settings like you...!

Maybe its also different in PAL/NTSC or maybe firmware..sorry that i cant help here..!

Norm 1
Norm 2 is the Pal settings.

Just checked my camera (purchased May 2006 Pal) and the settings are the same as yours.. I've never changed the Matrix settings and checking now it was on Norm 1...

What's the difference between the 2 settings..

(PS.. in Australia we did not get the book.. and I've just found out they are selling the camera now with the same US offer of a free 8 gig card... looks like I need to buy from a Euro Dealer to get another 8gig card for 500euros as they are still charging full price out here)..

I just saw the "Matrix" section on the HVX Bootcamp DVD again and you're right, mule:

PAL= NTSC
-----------------------------------
NORM 1 = NORM
NORM 2 = ENRICHED
FLUO = FLUO
CINE-LIKE = CINE-LIKE

No chance to get a 8GB card for 500 Euro in Europe..they had this for lets say 1 week here, but panasonic rolled that whole thing back, which made me really feel pissed(as i sold quite all of my 4GB cards in the mean time..)...i would suggest you to wait some more time if you can....the price HAS to come down..!
