Sorry if this has been asked but I tried searching for an answer but didn't quite get what I was looking for....

I just got the HVX200 and am waiting to buy a cineporter.....

my question is: if you shoot at 48 fps and in FCP play the footage back at 48 fps (so it's playing in real time) would it make the video look any different?

I'm trying to get a really crisp/shuttery look....setting the shutter @ 1/1000 is ok but not good enough...I need something to boost the shutter look...

any ideas?

thanks!

You can experiment with 48-for-48 by putting the cam in 720/60p mode, film cam mode, and then set the frame rate to 48fps.

But I don't know that this is going to give you what you want. Are you looking for a stroboscopic stop-motion-ish type of effect? If so, try going the other way -- try going slower on the frame rate, with a really short shutter. Try 720/60p mode, 12 fps, with 1/1000 shutter, and see if that's giving you what you're looking for.
