Hey

If you are planing on putting a feature shot at 1080/p on a dvd for viewing and then 35mm later for exibition, how would you go about doing so?

Do I need a program to downgrade it for a dvd? or is it some how involved in FINAL cut Pro. Also I want to shoot a slow motion scene and I noticed that people have said that shot slow motion at 720 and blew it up later, same type of question, how would you blow it up and with the same program I probably need?

When I need to have it transfered to 35 mm what format do they usually like to recieve the project, on a disc or...? Sorry new to this stage of film production.

Thanks

First off, if you really are planning on doing a 35mm blow up of HVX footage, then talk to a post house and lab in your area to find out what they would need in the way of files.
Search the archives in this forum as this comes up about once or twice a month but in reality, probably about 1% of those asking ever actually do it.

You might want to explain what you want with reference to the DVD.

A data DVD or a DVD-Video disc that plays as a normal disc in a set top

Im more interested in the info on down converting for a dvd, just a regular dvd to play in a dvd player. and what i would have to do to the 720 slow motion footy to make it look the same as the 1080?

I talked to a lab in vanc and figured out how I should have the footage for them. they said auido and video seperate, video in 20 minute sections and they will email me the file type.

I search alot of the stuff I ask about and usually do not find "exactly" what I am looking for , or the search doesnt have a broad range of tags. So I generally search through the threads about six pages and then ask.
