I dont understand why it says incompatable card when i insert my 4gb p2 card. it is an used card. please help.

Have you tried formatting it in camera?

it dosnt give me a formatting option in the camera can not select.

ooh. I just thought of another of those little things, that it could be.
Make sure the card is not write protected. Check the switch.

I had the same message happen every now and again. I'd turn the camera on while holding down the rec switch. After a couple tries it would "catch" and everything would work fine. I had a slew of related problems and I've since sent it back but that little trick got me through 4 hair pulling days of shooting.
