Hello, can someone explain to me how to connect my HVX to my Plasma for playback viewing?

I'm sure its pretty basic, but being I've never done it before I thought I'd ask.

Also, is there a box or converter that can be connected to my Apple 30" HD display that would enable me to view the content from my camera at full resolution, like I'm wanting to do on my Plasma TV?

Thanks to everyone on this board! I've learned a ton in the short time I've been here.

Your plasma must have component in. Plug the cords in and play. Its an analog signal, but at HD resolution.

And don't forget to set the CMPNT OUT SEL format to match the Plasma display -- see page 111 of the manual.

Thank you! I'll give it a go.

What about the monitor hook up ... is that possible?

If monitor has component input I don't see why not.

I tried playing back through the plasma from my HVX & FS100. Can't get it to work. In PC mode it says "no input signal". I can get the camera to display real time on the plasma but not recorded footage (at least whats on the FS100). I'll try playing something off the P2 cards.

I don't think the Apple display has component input. I was wonering if there was some sort of box or converter to run from the HVX to the Apple monitor?

It's not going to work. The HVX can't output an HD signal from firewire input. It can do it from the cards, but not from the FireStore.
