View Full Version : FCP Frame Rate Converter

So I got my FS-100 yesterday, and was able to borrow an HVX while I wait for mine to come in (should be here tomorrow - woo hoo!).

I'm still running FCP 5.0.4 (yes yes, I know).
Waiting for my crossgrade disks from Apple before upgrading to 5.1

SO - last night I was able to take the FS-100 through some of its paces.
Seems to work flawlessly so far, and I was able to import all my clips into FCP.

After some digging around on the boards I found the FCP Frame Rate converter plugin and installed it.

SO - here is my question -
Is there any way to batch convert my clips with the frame rate converter?
I was able to do undercrank/overcrank and 24p footage without any problem - but I'm having to convert each clip individually in FCP (which is a bit tedious).

Any solution to that?
Or is this just the way it is?

Thanks for any info/advice.

HI, Luis

No batch option for the FRC. Gotta do them one at a time.

OUCH.

Is this something I'm going to have to continue to do even have I upgrade my FCP setup?

The only thing you can do is install the version of the FRC which will come on your FCP 5.1 crossgrade installation disk since that is the one which works with 5.1.

And the functionality is the same.

Put it on the wish list

Oh well - thanks for the info, Ned.
At least it's not going to bring me down today - I just took my HVX out of the box.

Put it on the wish list

It's at the top.
