Business Marketing.

So I have decided to do some serious marketing for my video production company, we shoot music live shows - which is now moving into more music videos, still doing one wedding a month (dont want anymore so not concerned about this area as I am booked til November), event coverage, corporate, advertising - not so much, documentary. Of course in addition to self funded shorts and upcoming feature. I want to get away from the contracted work I do weekly and just get myself going on my own fulltime.

Right now I have a budget of $10K USD to throw at this, but when I say throw I dont mean throw away.

So for those that have a marketing plan or have done the research, where is this money best spent in your opinion.

No but I will now.

EDIT: Dont know why I havent read that before but thats one hell of a useful post.

So things on my todo
1/ Get the business cards redone - mine are OK but a new design is in order.
2/ Get some postcards made.
3/ start making calls.
