Just been playing around with Andrew Kramer's latest tutorial (nice work man, please keep 'em coming! :D ): http://www.videocopilot.net/fx.html
Just wondering if there's a way to do this against a different coloured background than black? I noticed on this page there is a similar effect against a blue-black gradient: http://www.creativecow.net/sfxpodcast/ (http://www.creativecow.net/fx/)
I've tried different blending modes but none seem to give me the right effect... unless I'm doing something wrong.
Also, I'm guessing the 'Bezier Warp' effect is a pro-only effect since it doesn't show up in my standard version. Is there a way of getting a similar effect in 7.0 Std? I've managed to create an okay-looking streak using the 'Warp' tool with the squeeze style and playing with the distortion... but it's not as funky-looking as the ones in the tutorial.
Thanks!
[EDIT: Okay, nevermind on the background colour thing, I got it to work using the screen mode... don't know what I was doing before...]
