What is the best compression program to buy because i used to have sorenson squeeze which seemed to work well but then when i reformated my computer i lost it and can't re-download it for free anymore... i no it was cheap. But, my question is, without spending too much money, whether i should get that program or another that maybe does a better job. Or, should i mess with the after effects/premiere export settings? Thanks for the help in advance.

I guess it depends what you're doing, but the export settings in After Effects are pretty good. Anything from a series of uncompressed stills to a full res-Animation Quicktime etc. can be exported.

There are a lot of options when exporting from AE, but generally they take a lot longer than something like QT Pro, and usually end up being plagued with odd issues here and there.

An animation I did a while ago rendered faster in full HD than it did for 360x240 H264 for web. It was a big difference between the render times, around 20 minutes or so. Since then, it's always been QT Pro for web stuff and AE for full res.
