I have a feature I have shot in 24 p advanced and have been succesful with the advanced pulldown workflow..HOWEVER EARLY IN THE FILM WE SHOT A SCENE in STANDARD MODE
because we weren't plainng on outing to film!

I now have two very important clips that when I go to change them from 29.97,(these two were shot standard not advanced) I get a great result when I watch it in the cinema tools window, it looks clean ,sharp and most importantly doesnt have the "judder, shaky" look to it.. However when I bring it into the timeline in fcp( 23.98) the clips seem lower quality and definetly have that delayed jumpy shutter look. Other 23.98 clips looks fine on that same timeline, but not these... Any Clues????

Thanks

Somebody else might help you more than me because I know nothing about cinema tools and don't edit that much, but it sounds like you might just need to render the footage. If FCP is set to play the footage at the best quality it can muster ( I think that's unlimited RT? but i forget) then you will just get jumpy bad looking video.

Maybe its a completely different issue though.
