hvx firestore & fcp

I want to do some slow mo stuff
so if im shooting 720 25p and changing the frame rate to 50 in pro hd
then recording into the firestore.

Then getting the stuff into fcp which i seem to be doing ok under 720p 25 via the sequence settings
should the footage play back automatically 50 % slower? mine doesn't

even when i slow down the footage it doesn't look like some of the stuff i have seen shot with this camera on the net.

Mine looks blurry i have taken the shutter speed upto 1/500
does the shutter need to go higher or am i doing some else wrong?

Hello Paluser,
the way in pal to get that slowmo is shooting 50p (progressive), 'cause 50i is 50 fields interlaced on 25 frames a second. That's why if you shoot 50i and bring to FCP is still 25 frames as 720p25. If you have a P2card the you can use VBR up to 60p in 720 resolution, so then importing in FCP sequence 720 25p setting you can have even slower!

Thanks for the info I am slowly getting there with this camera!!!
As another pal user i am not to happy that panasonic us have lots of rebate programs but nothing for us this side of the pond...
