Recently i had trouble color correcting my A1 footage in AE7 because AE would just hang on the HDV mpeg files and it would be much too slow. After much research and help i figured out a great way to go NLE to AE back to NLE while maintaing a RAW lossless format and allowing for a fast efficient workflow.
A few others on this forum were having the same trouble as me so i took a few mins out of my day to create my first video tutorial. Hopefully this helps people!
Feel free to share it, spread it around etc.

It comes up with a blank page in IE 7... Use Mozilla and you can get the page to come up...

thats the link to a video i shot, however that has nothing to do with this tutorial?
Perhaps you got your threads confused. :)
Thanks coffee, im sure there is a way to do virtually the same thing on a mac in FCP. Can you output to targa files or TIFF/PNG files?

Great tutorial! Loved it! Thanks, very much!
I walked through the entire procedure with you. Very cool.
(Could use a bump in the audio though, I have my laptop maxed out and had to keep the room very quiet to be able to hear ya.)
More! More!
Here's the snippet I used to follow along: Short Fire Clip (http://www.shemyavets.com/m2t/fire.m2t)

thanks for the kind words, im not some pro tutorial guy like andrew kramer from creative cow, infact i didnt even think this would help anyone. Glad you were able to follow along! Means my 13mins making it wasnt wasted. haha. I figure if it can help atleast one person it was worth the time. Perhaps ill make more tutorials that pertain to this camera. The main thing i am good at is ENCODING. So if a bunch of people get stumped, or want to know how to encode back to RAWHD ill be glad to explain it and make another tut.

Nice tutorial. One thing, when exporting a tga from Premiere, wouldn't you want to choose 1440x1080 with a 1.333 PAR? You chose 1920x1080 with a 1.333 PAR, and that will stretch the footage. You can see when you import the sequence into AE that it's wider than the comp window. Just a thought.
Love always

its actully not wider than the comp window, those are just handles you can grab. Initially i thought the same thing. :) Its not stretching, its maintaining the same aspect ratio. 1440x1080 would also work, however, on my final project i always output a 1920x1080 mpeg for archive purposes so i just work in 1920x1080 all the time after leaving the NLE.
