Hi all expert,

I am new to the world of HVX200. I have some questions when I making projects.

I have shot some footage at 720PN/25, film rate at 50 fps. When I import those file to FCP via 'import'>'Panasonic P2'. FCP told me that the file is corrupted... I have doubled check with the file and it should be fine. How can I import those files properly?? Also, what project base I should set in 'Easy Set Up' ?

I am from HongKong and my setting should be in PAL, that means, DVCPRO HD 50i/25P, etc... But in FCP I can't find any DVCPRO HD 25P / 50i project, all in 30P / 60i . Is FCP do not support 25 / 50 DVCPRO Project? Is it any solution on it?

Many thanks to the experts here!

Hi all,

Another stupid questions here... I see you guys talking about FCP5.1.2, I just purchased a Final Cut Studio, is it a different version of FCP you guys mentioned? How can I upgrade to FCP5.1.2 ?

Thanks,

Sam

Don't. If you work with P2 footage, DO NOT upgrade to FCP 5.1.2.

Hmm...well, shoot. You have to because of the need to import 25p footage.

The thing is that many folk...me included...have issues importing P2 with FCP 5.1.2. It says that many of the files are corrupt. But they aren't. I import with FCP 5.1.1 and they import fine.

How do you get FCP 5.1.2? What version are you running now? FCP 5.0.4? You need to purchase the Crossgrade in your neck of the woods:

OH! I try to download the FCP512 from apple.com

And now the problem solved...

I can import 50fps footage to my computer. I also find the 25i or 25p in the project!
