batch renaming while importing p2 in final cut?

Is there a way to rename all the clips on a card while importing into final cut pro in a single step.. So that they're name something like "test01 test02 test03 etc..."
instead of having to rename each clip individually??

HD Log. Change the User Clip Name field to "auto-increment" in your P2 import template. Then easily auto-name :-)

I had the same question in another thread about doing it in the P2 Import window in FC 5.1.2 and someone said you just rename the first clip and the rest will automatially rename when you import. But that doesn't do it...

thanks Dan, but $200 or more for a batch rename utility just doesn't seem practical. Im sure there's more it can do, but I'm not looking for more...
