Pretty sure if anyone shot any around here it'd be up. But I guess it's a good thing because that shows us that everyone's taking their time learning the camera.

Hopefully that means the content posted in this area will shine.

has no body taken their A1 out for a video shoot? Common people, lets get busy! Me wants to see some beautiful footage before the purchase is made!

Yeah, that usually takes time, speaking in terms of "WELL" shot and not "QUICKLY" shot.

Give it time... and keep your eyes on the forum.

lol, reason being i want to make the purchase soon, and i have no doubts about the camera, but it would be encouraging to see how it handles well lit situations :) So someone go shoot themselves quickly talking on the phone with a nice lighting setup, and post it! :)

WEll, this seems like something you should pioneer yourself. Buy it and show us what it can do. Be a leader yeah? Just because someone else can make the camera look great doesn't mean you'll be able to. So what's wrong with heading it on yourself? =P

Just a little push.

Elton has some relatively well-lit footage of a couple playing a chess game.

On the 31st, I'll have an outdoor short finished for a contest.

Keep in mind I'm no expert. The only day I was able to film was overcast, which I was disappointed about, but the footage came out stunning anyway (in my opinion). If you can delay the purchase until then, I have to have this finished by the 31st, so I can guarantee a narrative short by then.

hi Rawfa, I red you time ago, in this forum. I didnt wrote here before because my english is a S**t.
I bought the camera 2 months ago. I had't time to explore it well. But I want tho shoot something nice. IŽll tell all you when I have something new. Thanks to this forum I have learned a lot. I would like to buy the RED, but is to much money for me. May be in a pair of years if they decide to build a cheaper one.
Anyway I think that XHA1 is a very good weapon. :-)

Hi Toenis. I recorded with "preset 2" like DVX100 as in the upper post indicates.
I donŽt remember exactly the levels but I dessatured colors and add contrast. After that I applied a filter like cinema look too, but only iris change, not scratches, dust or similar. I dont have a method. Only trying in CC with premiere. And magic bullet.

If only DVXusers know what a quality contest the NoToDo is...
...so, so, so, good.
Now I know why rest of the world seems so dull for most of the time.
So inspirational. I`m blown away. IŽve Been reading DVXuser for about two years and actually never came across contents that are as good as found on http://www.notodofilmfest.com/ediciones/06/en/php/index.php

Thank you Jim for posting your short,
T

Your first shot on the other thread seems to be lit ok, but the others need some re-working with either your lighting set up or your camera settings.
