Okay stick with me here....
I just got my XHA1 and am doing an audio test.
I recorded my audio with a standard condenser mic cabled to the XLR's: no issue.
Recorded it and then digitized it into my FCP fine.
Went into the menu's and turned off the XLR's and plugged in the same mic , a cable with a mini into the "mic" mini plug input. The VU's in the monitor moved and I heard my voice, then I unplugged the cable and tested the fixed camera mic. VU's popped again.
The issue was when I went to digitize it into my FCP the video captured fine, I see the VU's moving... but it won't digitize the audio into my computer with the recorded audio from the mini mic plug. But it will digitize the audio from the camera mic!?!?!
Recording in 16 bit... all standard def.
Some of my clients don't want to jump to HD... yet.
Appreciate any "input".
Thanks.
