Will this have any effect on my footage?
EDIT:
Ok, it seems that since I had the A1 set to 60i and the FS set to 24p, when I bring a clip into FCP I get the red render line no matter what I have my sequence set as.
Anyone have any tips for me? I'm banging my head against my keyboard over this, lol.

Don't understand this one--maybe the Firestore actually only captured 24p when the output was actually 60i and the conversion is screwed up.
I take it you recorded m2t on the Firestore? What are your sequence settings because FCP won't work with m2t, as you probably already know.
I suspect a mismatch by either recording m2t with the wrong frame rate to FS, or your MPEG Streamclip conversions don't match up with your FCP sequence settings.
Coffee--until we get the FCP 24F HDV QT thing resolved from Firestore, you should capture from tape. (argh, I know, but your life will be easier and you will have accurate timecode from original recordings.

I hear ya Elton, it's killing me right now to be honest with you. I simply don't like some of the hassle of converting the m2t files to mov files. grrrrrrrrr
as for the A1 recording 60i onto the FireStore (FS) which was set to 24f, I'm not sure if it screwed up the footage. I converted all of the m2t files into mov files and only some were screwy. I ended up going back and doing the conversions over again and after a few times they came out ok.

You know....I usually envy you MAC guys. But right at the moment it sure feels good for 24f .m2t files to work directly in Premiere with no hassles. Too bad the program is dog slow!!

Hey Coffee,
Not sure I'll be very helpful on this one but here goes... How exactly did you set the Firestore to 24p? As far as I can tell, you can't directly set a recording frame rate on the firestore, it just auto-detects the frame rate that the camera is set to.
I can't find a reference in the manual for directly setting a frame rate and in my experience so far, the recorder has automatically set itself to the frame rate in the camera.
Oh, another question, what are the m2t files named? I ask because the firestore names the files with a reference to their frame rate, so I thought that may provide a clue.

Juan, I'll take a look at it in a little while to see if I can find that info.
