In my other post i complained about the grain, then was told it was because i had kept AGC on, but i figured i would still share the footage. The footage is in a .rar package and is in a divx encoded avi. Let me know what you think. (Not all footage was bad)

http://www.dvxhost.com/files/video/sfmontage.rar

it was downsized to 720P

i know you used divx for compression. Is it me or does it look unnaturally wide? like beyond 16:9...

very good upbeat music and that guy sure knows how to handle that violin!!!
this video did turn out good, once you get into it.. you forget the grain :)

Video: DivX 5 1280x720 23.98fps 1999Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 128Kbps [Audio 1

Who's the violinist? Did you record the footage of him playing, and buy a cd from him to sync up with the footage in post? The music's really good.

Google it and download for free, Divx is a good tool. Also, it plays in VLC.

DL'ing the video now.

EDIT, just watched the vid. I like it. It's simple but the music was good. That dude rocked the vio.

The violinist was some street artist on powel st in san francisco. (a popular place for street artists) and no, i did not sync it up, all that was recorded using an onboard Sony microphone. (the mic that comes with the v1u/pdx10) I was amazed at how well it came out aswell, if you have ever been to powell st/market st you would know its a super noisy place.

yeah, the footage was meant to be my first test with the A1, so i wasnt trying to do anything insane, i just got lucky with the violin guy and figured why the hell not. :p and yes, divx is a great free tool i suggest people download it as well as xvid.

Wow, I thought you had dubbed the audio because the music sounded so good, and you could barely hear any other noise on the street. Nice job. I just wish I knew who that guy was, because I really liked that song :P

i will be producing a music video for him to sell very soon. :)
hes just a street performer, but hes got skills, so i intend on sharing the music with others because i figured people would like it.

rar is the best compression format yet over zip files. VLC is the best player yet as well as mpc for divx/xvid/ts/wmv files!

I would highly recommended videographers to embrace this formats because they come handy especially when they are free and oss.

Just one way to stream your media when limited on resources.
