Computer Requirments for editing

What computer to do you recommend for editing Cineform RAW 2k footage on? I understand Prospect HD works with Premiere Pro, but what about hardware?

Any ideas on requirements for smooth editing of the footage, without having to do any compression or downrez'ing to the footage before it comes into the computer? I'm of course refearing to a desktop PC, not a Laptop.

I keep hearing anything with a single Intel Core 2 duo processor, is that correct?

For me, It seems pretty cheap now days to make a duel, Intel core 2 duo computer with 4 GB of RAM and a kickass Video card ($2,000+) should editing almost anything.... Including this, am I correct?

Just add a few SATA HDD...

Hi Landon,

A Core 2 Duo (Conroe) system will work great, just make sure you're getting a 2.4Ghz+ system. As Ari noted, you'll need at least a 2-disk SATA RAID if you want the multi-stream stuff to work as well.
