worried obout my fx-7

my fx-7 arrived today and i am far from happy with it at the moment ,firstly the auto white balance on my hc1e is poor so i always use manual ,on the fx-7 its worse if anything,regarding colors on manual red and blue seem fine but i may have to tune color down a bit,green the most important color in my opinion[the wild green world]is week even worse than the hc1e.the bigest worry is the fact that in 25 minutes recording i had six drop outs sony premium new tape,when i started with the hc1e i had none until at least five hours and only rarely get the odd one.here is a bit of recording that i have put drop outs in,manual setting.

Hi flinty, cant comment on the camera but an early dropout isnt entirely unusual. Run a head cleaning tape through for five seconds, should do the trick.
