I need help encoding to H.264 or HD XViD directly from premiere... Is it doable, if not, what format should i output to first, then what program should i use to encode.
I have the canon a1 and want to share my footage, but i cant figure out how to propperly compress H.264...

Use Procoder, it has H.264 encoding and it's a plug-in for Premiere

i have procoder 2, perhaps i should re-install it because the plugin for premeire doesnt seem to be installed... where is it located inside premeire? I seem to remeber it being under the export menu, but its not longer there. Guess it just needs a reinstall

Just make sure it's installed inside the Premiere plug-in folder. If you use PP2.0 Procoder doesn't seem to be able to recognize the directory by itself.

I think copying and pasting the Procoder plug-in to the Premiere folder should do it.

Find where Procoder installs it's Premiere plug in. Copy and Paste that into where ever you installed Premiere. The directory should be Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0/Plug-ins/en_US

now that i have it setup, what are good settings to produce a nice 720P h.264 file? It needs to be streamable, my goal is to be able to share it here and on my website.

Haven't messed around much with that setting, but I would try one of the presets that's available and see what you can come up with. Although in my experience it's hard to stream HD unless it's kept very short.

Could you tell me the name of the Procoder 2 plugin file that should be copied to the Premiere Pro plugins folder? I haven't been able to get this to work yet. Thanks in advance...
