:D I wish I could get into this fest but I have been crazily busy. Maybe the next one. :-) I am lurking around here a lot. I use my render time at work to check out what is going on over here. I think this fest is going to break ground for a ton of people. Huge steps are going to be made. I can't wait to see them.
Check it out my friends!! Stricken was watched by a local band who then hired me for some music videos. I was able to upgrade my camera. My HVX is slowly becoming UBER POWEFUL! I knew you guys would appreciate this. My indie snap matte box will be here soon. YAY! I can't wait to see all of your awesome vids!

You're getting a component image on that monitor man, that's awesome. Too bad it's an LCD monitor. Just kidding. You've got a killer setup there!

Matt,
That's awesome about the work and the camera upgrades. Looking good man
I was really, really, REALLY hoping that you've been secretly working on an entry. I'm sad to hear that's not the case...but then I guess its good you've been busy.
I 'm still really looking forward to working together on some projects. Hopefully this summer.
Take care...and be sure to throw up some footy of the music video(s) you're working on.
Peace,
Larry

 No Prob! So when do I get to see these awesome looking movies? I am expecting some great stories, and that is what I love the most about any movie. There should be a lot of depth in this fest.

That's an awesome setup. Hopefully one day our rig will look as good. We try to do the same. When ever we get some money we upgrade or add on. It's the best way to go.

I absolutely agree. There is no way I could have bought everything at once. All this stuff is so expensive, but I am still a believer in buying the equipment over renting it, as I can play with the HVX whenever I want to and get good at using all the tools I need to make something spectacular.

Yeah, renting to me is counter productive (especially when it involves equipment that is under a five-six grand). Renting a HVX for 16-20 days you could have bought the thing. I'd also rather buy one new piece at a time, learn it, get good at it, and then next project buy a new piece and learn that. Instead of going crazy buying a bunch of new equipment and hope you can figure it all out by the time your deadline comes around... of course I might be saying that just because we can't afford to buy it all at once:D
P.S.: Matt, that really is a killer setup you have, *drool* Hopefully we will see it in action in the next fest or in a feature film.
EDIT: Matt, how do you like the Indie Follow Focus

Another cool benefit is that if you are hired as the cameraman not only can you get paid for your services but you can also get paid to rent your equipment.

Yeah, especially with Dramafest... we should see a lot of depth.
Looking forward to another festival! I had such a blast at Horrorfest. (It's so funny, I feel like I actually WENT to a festival even though I never left my house!)

Timur, the follow focus works pretty well for me. I bought it used and the gear on the turn nob is slightly warped so it takes a little doing to focus smoothly, but it can be done. I used the same FF in Stricken.

Hey Matt,
So is that the Cam that I sent you?!? Man you did some wonderful things to her. Things I wished and dreamt to get for my hvx, but never was able to do. Looking like a serious hardcore filmmaking lovin' machine. I'm glad she is in good hands, and being put to good use.
Please post whenever you get some footage you want to show. Would love to see more of your work. Once again, I like how you totally rocked it out.
