I have a question for encoding for DVD with A1 Footage. (this would mean encoding to SD, so keep in mind im not talking HD-DVD) what settings would one select when regarding framerate/pulldown. Would you chose "NTSC 23.976" or "24 FPS"?

(i normally use canopus procoder or CCE2)

thanks

Use NTSC 23.976

That is the actual frame rate of HDV 24F.

I'm Mac based, so I use Compressor2 or MPEG Streamclip to encode H.264

damn. I did some research for a pc h.264 encoder and VLC seems to offer one. Hopefully it has a GUI. If anyone has any other alternatives for the pc, posting them would be great.
