Archive MXF or QT?

I'm debating whether I should start archiving my HVX footage as MXF files, or to keep saving the QT files like I've been doing? I'm using FCP 5.1.2, and I've had no problems bringing in QT footage (TC and metadata seems to all be included with the QT file). So, what are the pros/cons of archiving MXF as opposed to QT?

Consider your MXF as your source footage (because it is), Later on during the years QT's might change, and you can always import new QT wrappers with your original MXF files.

I backup the MXF files to DVD-R's then bring them into QuickTime whenever I need them.
