I use the foxi focus pull and it works great but the iris on the foxi is not quite well. The moment you plug the foxi in the camera, the camera functions shut off. Is there a possibility to turn the iris off and control that part in camera while using the foxi?
thanks

Hi dolph, just turn it over and read where it says "Man" and "Auto" next to that sliding switch that says "Iris"
BTW, if you don't seat the plug fully (into the camera) you can get some wacky results with the Foxi.

Thanks Dregenthal but when you plug it there is no way that you manually control the iris from the camera itself. I want to use the focus only that is not possible because when activate by plug it in you can only use focus and iris both together.

You are correct (of course), I should have read (or thought about it) more closely.
I think the unit could benefit greatly by replacing that goofy little "tractor tread" rubber band thing with a knob . . . although I have gotten used to it.
I bought that $45 extension cable, happily making life easier when on the jib.
(also using a Libec ZC-3DV for zoom & record features, with extension cable).

Friend, What extension cable are you using with the Foxi? Thx, Harry

A standard 1/8" headphone extension cable will work with the Foxi but you loose the functionality of the AUTO/MAN switches. It always defaults to Manual. Or you can buy the special 4 conductor cable from http://www.smarthome.com/9725252x.html
