brevis35 not working?

hey guys I recently got my brevis adapter as a christmas present from my fiancee (good techie fiancee huh) =0)

anyway when I received it, the vibrating glass does not seem to work. =o( I mean the light turns on, but no vibration. I know there is a new version which the vibrating noise is much more minimal, but hey, I don't think its that minimal!

another thing is that is the ground glass edge supposed to be clean or is it ok to have ruffles and such? because I have something like that..

Does anyone else have this problem? I emailed the guy who made it but no response, probably on vacation? can anyone help me out here?

Patience my friend, Dennis will take care of you. Sounds like the motor is bad and if that's true it will need to be replaced. I'm sure Dennis will contact you soon...he's a forum freak so your plea won't go unnoticed or unsolved.

so what will explain the hairlike thing on the edge of the ground glass? looks like it comes out like, 5-10% out of the bottom

and the smear.. im confused.. will this be visible with lens and vib GG on?
