HI

i´m sorry if this was discussed before, but my english is not as good as it should be so i didn´t know for what to search ... so all my searches went quite the wrong way...

my question is - i´ve set up my hvx on a tripod yesterday and made some pans and tilts of my christmas tree... and everytime i made a move upseide down or viceversa it makes a little movement to the right and back (like a little bump to the right) at about 45° .... so i checked the tripod, but it is ok.
then i thought, maybe it is the lens or something wich is moving ... i turned the stabiliser of and then it dissappears.
so .. i´m an absolutely newbe on cameras so my question is if this is normal or should i send it to the service to check whats happening there?

thanks a lot

The stabiliser is the reason, it is trying to keep the image steady while you are tilting the camera. You say yourself that the problem disappears with stabiliser off...

Generally the stabiliser should not be used when camera is on tripod, when doing tilts and pans.

Yeah...I noticed this problem and started freaking out the first couple time it happened to me, thought my camera was busted. The OIS in the HVX isn't very good. This never happened to me with the DVX-100. I keep the OIS on all the time with no problems, even on tripods.

The OIS seems pretty good to me. It's doing what it's supposed to do. But if you're on a tripod, OIS should definitely be off.
