Hey I did a search but couldnt find an answer to my question:
what is the EI/ASA of the HVX200, and does adding the mini35 change the sensitivity?
thanks!

I am not sure for the 200 but with the PS it goes down 1 and half, it ll be about 100 asa i bet. 100 AE was with the ps 35mm a 160 ASA . 200 seems to be less..

I came across this several days ago and found it interesting, maybe you will too... HDV's ASA (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?p=802890#post802890) and 'the dirty little secret' of HDV cameras in general.

The first post in the thread gives a link to the original article (http://michael-morlan.net/pages/learning/learning_hdv_dirty_little_secret.htm), and shows how to rate your cameras ASA using a gray card and light meter.
according to the post, the HVX200 may have a low ASA of ~125 to 160

Other posts do talk about this and Barry's book gets into the details. But the short form is the HVX200 is rated at an ASA of 320. Adding the Redrock M2 on the front and it rates at an ASA of 160 (verified through my own shooting experience). I can't speak specifically about the mini35, but from what I understand it would rate slower than the M2.
