Introduction

Lost Water Studios is a small group, formed little over a month ago. Over the next month, two of it's founders are going to be constructing a small 6 minut dramatic film to enter into the DVX User Drama-Fest 2007. So far the film is around 2% complete. In the way that, we are still tring to think of a plot and basic concept for the film.

One of the main problems we have, which has become one of our strongest issues. Is that Andrew, is in Queensland, Australia. Whilst myself is based in Wales, Great Britain.

The film we are aiming to shoot is going to be a medieval based drama. Set in the 17th centuary. Of course, details tbc since we can't confirm what we are doing ourselves yet.

Though recently we both been on a location scout in our own seperate parts of the world. Some of the images and locations we found were unbelievable, and some were less than impressive.

We are hoping for an epic battle to take place in our short, and in some ways, makes it much easier than my last idea for a DVX Fest project. As Andrew is based In Australia, he can organise a day or two when he can get out to New Zealand and get some long panning shots. The location style you see in famous films such as Lord of the Rings.

Overall, this thread will form over the next 6 weeks. If need be, this film will be just for exhibition, though we do hope we can enter properly. So we hope you enjoy the journey, from one thread, to a six minute film, because right now. We don't quite know what we're doing ourself. Thank's.

A big Merry Christmas from Lost Water Studios. Cheesy. Yet stupid.

Great Britain
Today research has begun on the project. We are looking into legands, myths, and true stories behind the locations we are thinking of using. One location in particular has a very deep, dark past. As the image below shows.

Australia
No news to report yet from down under, accept Andrew is wrapping up a small CGI team to help with the special effects. Some "legal" activity is proving to be helpful since we have good access to programs that some profesional film making companies use.

More news coming Boxing Day. Merry Christmas DVX-User.com
