Want to know what your keyboard shortcut assignments are without having to scroll through the list? Yeah, I know you do!
Well, there's good news for you. I have a tool that will convert EDIUS v3/v4 keyboard shortcut .DAT files (Application Settings | Customize | Keyboard, click Export) to human-readable tab-delimited text so you can arrange it as you see fit (easiest to paste into Excel then you can sort/group/etc).
Get it here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U5G7Z3XC).
An important note on keyboard shortcuts:
When upgrading between minor versions of EDIUS (ie 4.0 to 4.1, etc), any new keyboard shortcuts that are added in the new version will be unassigned, even if there's a default keystroke associated with that function. This is to avoid inadvertently reassigning a function that you may have already assigned on your own. So, after you upgrade be sure to
check the list for new functions.
The Shortcut translator tool also needs to be updated with each new version, to become aware of new functions. Fun, eh?
Anyway, I hope it helps you out and have happy and safe holidays!
