I just updated my web site and I thought I would let you all know that I have included some new tutorials - they are all pretty basic, but cover some questions I've seen a lot. They can be found at:

http://www.235studios.com/tutorials.html

The Tutorials are as follows-
Upres your 720 to 1080 with Photoshop

Importing 1080pa into FCP correctly (This is for FCP 5.1.1 or older, as the issue has been resolved as of release 5.1.2)

Aspect Correct you frame grabs / stills from FCP with Photoshop

Hopefully these are helpful to you. I also have some older tutorials that pertain to the DVX- they are on the same page.

Enjoy!

Nice tutorial about up rezing footage. But does it give better results than Compressor? Also, I found Studio Artist to do up rezing with it's Super Sizer function really quick, easy, and great quality. I'd never thought about doing an Image Sequence with PS, nice work flow. Really nice tutorials! Good job!

You know, I am not sure- I have not done a side by side to compare. Off the top of my head I would think that compressor would do a better job- as it seems to do a great job at converting images, but I have not tested it out. The upresing stuff was written before I had FCP Studio (5) - and I was using 4.5, I also did not have Photozoom Pro. But I did have Photoshop, so I used what I had to get the job done.

Interesting - I have not heard of SA- do you have a link?
