Audio: Print to tape from FCP to miniDV

Apologies for his basic question:

I need to Print to Tape from FCP 3 to mini-DV on an hvx202.

I understand I set the camera to VCR mode for this process.

Do I need adjust the hvx202's audio levels?

Or are the audio levels only used when recording in Camera mode?

Levels are only used in Camera mode. When recording straight from FCP the signal is the same.
