View Full Version : Parting out a britek/other light and make it a fluorescent?
Has anyone tried modeling a flo using the compact fluorescents?
like these:

I would love to build one that uses these.
Anyone know what to do about an internal ballast?

You could also make a fixture from a self-ballasted compact fluorescent too like a halogen worklight. It would only hold a 30w bulb but you would be surprised how useful a small light like that can be.

I was looking at doing the self-ballasted ones first using a couple of the 150w bulbs that I keep seeing. But I couldnt find any with a 90+ cri. So Im going with the more kino-floish design.
I'm not a fan of emission spectrum lighting, but here you go...
