Just received email and confirmed on their website. I'm waiting for more reports before deciding between V1 and Canon A1.

Finally! We should start seeing footage next week. Apparently the first batch of cameras will be in consumers' hands on Monday.

first batch was in uk last week i know cos i tested one very nice camera
a lot smaller than FX1/Z1 camera was set up side by side with Z1 to make comparisons in my opinion i thought the picture looked sharper more detail
than the Z1 in interlaced, in progressive it looked the same in detail resolution
to my eye could not see any of the problems that was mentioned on the web.
both were set up with 32 inch hd tv through component and the pictures
looked great regarding 3ccd versus cmos on picture quality there was nothing
in it especially between the Z1 and V1 as i am seriously thinking of buying
this cam.

It is pretty hard to beat the xh-A1. I am curious to see how the Sony is going to match up but I wouldnt bet too much money on the Sony.

yes well i am still undecided although it maybe make more sense to go with
sony as i have same batteries etc but i am very very curious regarding the
canon xh-A1 and the way i see at the moment there is a lot interested in this camera seeing how the canon forum is gaining pace.
hopefully in next couple of weeks we will see more of the sony cam and
then i will no doubt like a lot of others on the fence ie."will i go canon or sony"
will be better to make a judgement.
