Hello,

I've searched, but can't find it. Could someone direct me to a link that answers this question (or, if you like, can you answer the question):

Blu-ray and HD-dvd isn't widespread yet, so if I buy an HVX, shoot some great footage with variable frame rates (timelapse, creamy-smooth slo-mo, etc.), which can only be shot with the cards in the hi-def modes, how does the output look when you edit and burn your own dvd's? Is there a down-conversion process that's obvious (or simple)?

I'm using Avid Xpress Pro (I haven't upgraded to Avid HD, because I'm waiting to pull the trigger on the HVX purchase), Sorenson Squeeze, and Adobe Encore.

Cheers,

-b

Okay, I'm a lazy kook. I didn't search through the 'Workflow' threads enough.

Still, any wisdom or experience would be appreciated on final output.

Also, in my quest, I clicked on the banner ad for 'Red Giant', which offers uprezzing for 99 bucks. Anyone out there use this software? Seems too good to be true, although for 99 bucks, it's almost worth a gamble.
