Dunno if this is allowed in this thread or not. But, anyone from the PA area, close to Pittsburgh entering this contest. Looking to join/team up with someone. I have a great premise. Just need some people to work with.

Thanks

By all means. This is what DVXuser and the fests are for here to promote.

Good luck to you!

I don't know what your project entails... but I shot my first as a one-man effort!

Don't let the lack of crew stop you from anything!

I suggest doing a search on "Pittsburgh" and looking through the results so you can send some PMs or e-mails to DVXUSER members in your area. Most of us involved here are passionate about the process of filmmaking and would welcome an inquiry like yours. So, go kick ass!

Yeah.

I did send out some emails. But didn't get any replies. So I figured I would make a post about it. But oh well, still no replies. I think I am just unlucky.

Anyhoo good luck to all.

Now, don't talk like that... (unless maybe you really are unlucky!)

I haven't seen any dvxers in the Pittsburgh area on the boards (that I've noticed). And I can relate as I can't find any users in the Boston area either. Hell, I have to travel to California to make my film with fellow dvxers!

Good luck to you. Don't let a lack of crew stop you.

If your story can't be shot without them, find a new story for now and shoot that.

Just shoot something!!!

Yeah. Don't give up so easy. Just film something. It can suck. It's ok. It's all in the learning experience. I don't have a crew either

Yea, I was a one-man crew on my first film (enlisted the help of my wife and her parents as grips) and one actress (my niece). For my next film I used craigslist.com and got a lot of contacts for cast and crew...might be worth trying.

Alright, You talked me into it guys.

Myself and a friend are currently writing the script all through December. And in January we are going to shoot/edit.

I will start another thread tomorrow (later today i mean) about details/synopsis and all the other good stuff. I tell you what, I'm glad I decided to do this, especially with my buddy who is a english major. The story we came up with is a pretty dark and twisted drama.

Keep watch for the post/updates.

thanks again guys.

If you guys need a second set of eyes to go over the script, feel free to give me a holler. I'd be more than happy to give you honest feedback.

Peace,
Larry
