SELLING CANON XL 1 3CCD Professional Video Camera - CHEAP!
Hi,
I'm selling a 4 year old Canon XL 1, the predecessor to the current Canon XL 2. It is comparable to the Sony PD 150 or the Panasonic DVX 100 except that it does not have 24p. It is in EXCELLENT condition with no marks, lens cracks, or dents whatsoever. It works 100% prefect and it does not really look its age. Nothing's wrong with it.
It currently has about approximately 70 hours on the heads. I have an XL2 (Which I'm also planning on selling here too) so I always used this camera as a backup to shoot behind the scenes stuff, etc. - Essentially very light work which is why it has such low 'mileage'. It also comes with a solid, silver metal customized hard case (Over $200 retail value), a Tiffen 72mm UV Filter ($50 Retail), 10 Mini DV Tapes (Usually $5 each) and a BRAND NEW 7" LCD Monitor (I still have the box Retail sells for almost $300!). I have not used this monitor a SINGLE TIME. It is still stuck in the box. You will also get the usual accessories like charger, batteries, remote, etc.
I hardly used this camera because after I bought it, the XL2 came out and I got that instead. So this was merely a backup camera. Tapes heads are hardly used at all. I'm planning on selling this camera as I intend to jump on the HiDefVideo bandwagon... And I also need the cash to go into still photography as I'm eyeing the new Nikon D80. Anyway, I'm looking for around $1,600 including the case, LCD, batteries, charger, remote. etc.
To Summarize, for $1600 you will get:

P.S.: In case you're wondering I still have the rubber viewfinder cover. I just find it clumbersome and take it out when I shoot. I still have it.
