(Apologize that I'm re-posting this from the 'Output' forum which I realize doesn't get nearly as much traffic as this one.)
Hey guys,
Don't know if this is the right forum but...
Problem: The DSR-1800 doesn't see the footage coming out of FCP via Print to Video.
Setup: Using a friend's Sony DSR-1800 deck connected via FW to my dual G4 for layoff of mini-DV masters of a project just completed in FCP. I don't have a monitor hooked up to it but the DSR-1800 has no problem displaying recorded footage through the Log and Capture window. It appears that I can play footage but I can't layoff footage. The input setting is on "i.LINK" (which is blinking in the display). The i.LINK button on the right side is also lit.
EDIT: Under Audio/Video, my Device Control Preset is "Firewire NTSC". Could this be the problem? Should I change it to "DVCPRO HD 1080i50 Firewire," "DVCPRO HD Firewire", "Sony HDV 1080i50 Firewire," "Sony HD Firewire" or one of those? (The footage is standard DV).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Joshua
