...the Spanish name "Ruy"?

I frequently come across it in my readings and have yet to hear it said out loud.

Yeah, I know. Silly post. But not necessarily non-film related. What if I wanted to name a character Ruy?

Wouldn't it be "ROO-eee"? Don't forget to roll the R. The natives love that.

Haven't a clue. Reasonable, because of "muy", but...just wanna be sure.

Have the same trouble with the French "Guy", but I do know how that's pronounced.

Since you're German...the vowels (uy) are like German 'Sie', and the G is like 'go' in English...

If it's all the same to you...perhaps not tonight. Vali is counting on an end-of-Summer baby, and that might put it off until sometime in Autumn.
