I'm wondering if other people using the 35mm adapters and dollies at the same time may be having similar issues. My dolly is not big enough to have someone sitting in it. Usually, I do all of the dolly shots by myself while adjusting the focus and panning with the dolly. This proves to be a big headache. If I take the Letus off then things are definitely easier. I'm just thinking whether other people are having any success dollying, panning, and adjusting the adapter at the same time?

p.s. I know I'm probably asking the impossible. Thought I would give it a try anyways. Thanks!!!

I was looking for advice when I'm doing this on my own. But, thanks!
ive managed to do it
just have the screen flipped around, and constantly rack focus as you move.
i have a shot in my donald duck video if u care to take a look where this happened.

I guess it comes down to practicing the shot over and over until you know how far to go with lens from point a to point b. I tend to move the camera a bit up and down as I change the focus causing bumps in an otherwise smooth shot.
You mean have the lcd in the camera flipped?
i have it flipped, facing me. i.e. the lcd screen is basically back in its closed position, except the screen is facing outside.
and yeah, its practice... practice.. do many many many takes.

A follow focus and a long whip would do it.

I don't find myself doing a dolly move very often. Try to truck whenever possible (parallel dolly move). This way you wont have to worry about pulling focus as much because your distance shouldnt change too much.
Another option is just to use a shorter lens. Should be much easier keeping things in focus with a 28mm for example.
Other then that the best option in your case may be to just take the 35mm off and leave the camera on auto focus.

I'm using a 50mm fd1.4 right now. I have been thinking about getting a shorter lens. Maybe that will help some. Thanks!

I wonder if anyone here has done a DIY follow focus for 35mm adapters?
i wouldnt mind one of those diy FF, just a FF so i can get smooth rack focus
