If anybody needs VO for their drama fest entry or a trailer, let me know. I'll do it for free (although I do reserve the right to kindly say no if for content reasons). You can check out my demo here: http://www.jasonfox.net/JasonFoxVOdemo1.mp3
Also, if you listen to the reel and think I suck, so be it. Just resist the urge to tell me. :)

That first voice sounds like a great VO for a trailer-voice. I started to listen to it "loaded for bear", but I think you did a great job Jason.
I wished I'd heard that when we first did our Hollywood Gothic trailer. We ended up going without VO, but if I'd heard that voice then, we'd have begged you to do it...

That's nice stuff! Did I hear a bit of the Ghostbusters soundtrack?

Blaine - Thanks. I'm technically not a pro yet. I've just done so many scratch tracks through the years for presenting to clients (I'm an ad writer) that I decided I may as well give it a shot since I'm freelance now. So I grabbed a bunch of my favorite scripts and an engineer friend recorded them for me. (However, I'll have to do any drama fest work in my home studio.) We are actually doing that first spot and a couple others with me as the talent, so that's a decent start.
Inexistence - good ears. We did that spot for a pitch for QuikTrip (a midwest c-store chain) a few years ago. Since it was non-airing, we just pulled music that I liked. And thanks for the compliment.

Jason,
It's great to see another VO talent floating around here. If you want to learn a lot more about the biz, I highly suggest checking out www.vo-bb.com (http://www.vo-bb.com), the Voice Over - Bulletin Board. It's a forum much like this one, with fantastic people at every career level imaginable participating in discussions. The archives have more information than every VO book ever written.
Best of luck!

Dan - thanks for the heads up. I'm just throwing my reel out there to see if I can get some local, non-union stuff. Maybe checking out that site will change my mind -- one way or the other. Ha! I've been around enoug VO guys to know how up and down the biz can be. Which is why I'm pursuing the more steady income stream of screenwriting. Hmmm.

OK so the PM thing did not work as your box is full. Send me a PM if you are still up for doing VO - I can put together a script (for the VO) in the next week or two and get that to you if that works.
