I've never actually worked with lenses before and I am looking into getting a M2 kit for my HVX. I have a Nikon D200 still camera with a few lenses. Will they work with the M2?

No. Digital lens won't work with the M2.

It depends which lenses they are?

Sorry Peter, but only F mount lens will work with the M2. lenses design for the Digital Nikon Camera, DX lenses , WILL NOT work with the M2, as you won't be able to control aperture.

DX lenses will work but only wide open.
AF lenses (non DX) will work fine.

If you read his post again he doesn't say anything about having DX digital lenses, he says...

"I have a Nikon D200 still camera with a few lenses. Will they work with the M2?"

We could assume what lenses he purchased with the camera but... He might of bought the body and the 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF-S Zoom-Nikkor or any other lense for that matter, which all work on the M2. As far I know the only lenses that don't work are the G series Nikon's.

As a side note the D200 is one of the few digital cameras that will actualy work with all the old manual focus lenses and allow the use of auto metering.

Pete.
