Hi!

Wondering if anyone knows of any timelapse capture software (for DV)?
I am aware of the dvx's time lapse feature, however I'm looking for a program that will enable me to capture directly to my laptop.

I found two programs so far, iStopMotion and BTV Pro for Mac OS. They seem more consumer oriented.

Consider using a digital camera instead of DV for stop motion. The quality and resolution of the images captured is better. Some digital cameras, Canon's for example, come with capture software.

To create a video with a digital camera, create a folder to hold all the images. Setup your camera and the capture software and capture the images into that folder. Then, using an image editing application (e.g. Photoshop) batch modify the images. Or, you can even edit individual images. Finally, create one more folder that will hold the DV resized images. Batch resize the images into the second folder you created. Finally, import them into Premiere as a FilmStrip. Not sure how this is supported with FinalCutPro.
