Hi!

Does anyone know if there's anyway of tricking Quicktime into thinking a 30P file is actually 24P? I'm interested in shooting 30P and then playing back at 24P for a slight slowmo effect. I've done this with after effects, in the interpret footage dialog you can tell the program how to deal with the frame rate. However doing this actually ends up recompressing the footage (for starters DV isn't all that great, specially for post). So I figure there must be some way to change a quicktime movie flag or header to 23.976.

Has anyone done this?

Perhaps DVFilm's Maker software can do this?

I think it will convert it, but it will recompress. I'm looking for something that just changes the properties of the mov.
Found something in apple's quicktime developer site, but it's kind of complicated. It's called dumpster.

Doh! Yep you can do it with Dumpster. Hehe I was fooling around with an audio-only .mov ;D That's why I was having trouble finding the framerate parameter haha

Anyways, this is a much better option of going from 30p-24p for slowmo, you don't go thru compression again.
