Howdy fellers,
A few weeks ago I left a note requesting assistance for a local business in the bay area that would be able to fix a busted focus ring. The camera was dropped on the floor and everything in front of the focus ring snapped off. We were quoted prices anywhere from 700-1500 plus.
I'd like to report that the repair job only cost 200 bucks! And I'd like to give commendation to the repair facility that did it. Media Associates, Inc. in Mountain View.
They replaced the focus ring (did not need to replace the entire lense assembly) and recalibrated focus and everything. Cam is good as new.
