Hello guys,

I know that if you are shooting to view on your TV you should go thick detail, and that if you want to transfer to 35mm you should go thin. Now, what if we want to do both? I mean, I shoot using thin detail to be transferred to 35mm, but then how do I create a tape that won't have the flickering thing on my tv? How do I get rid of that?

Thanks in advance

Add a slight vertical blur if it's problematic to your video output version.

Depending on your footage, you may find that THIN looks fine, or you may find that it flickers.

Most NLE's have a "reduce flicker" option which should solve the problem. So definitely shoot THIN, and then if you need to make two versions, you can always make a high-res version for film transfer and then put "reduce interlace flicker" on the destined-for-television version.
