For a website re-vamp, it would be interesting to find out what sorts of download speeds DVXusers are getting. I've seen posts before, but was wondering about this again. I'm sure there's people still on dial-up, yes?

5 tests. The average is 124 K/s. Not bad from a wireless laptop connection!

If I run it more than once, it degrades instantly to like 60 K/s. But if I close the browser, then re-open it to that URL it works fast again, for one time.
Anyway, after closing and re-opening, I got 206 K/s for an average of 173 K/s

I'm getting less than half here in Wilmington than I ever did in Charlotte. TimeWarner of Eastern Carolina sucks in many ways.

Ok, here's some actually usefull data from me now that I'm at home and no longer on a university network after campus closing...
Average of 10 tests, ~100K/s (800Kbps)

Ok, so now I need to update mine. I just upgraded my package so I can more quickly upload some stuff that I am mirroring, to get it online.
The first few downloads I did, I was getting about 190-200KB/sec. Woo Hoo!
Only problem, it costs 30 bucks more a month, so I don't know how long I will keep it. Can't afford it right now. Maybe just for this month, so I can have it for the almost 3x upload speed increase I now have.

I've got a nice connection here at work:

Course that is connecting to a server less than 50 miles away. The numbers go down considerably when I connect around the world:
