I thought I would post them here since some of them are more relevant and belong here, also theres just simply alot more people visiting here..normally.

1/ When you are going to shoot a scene. That involves the camera looking at a moniter of some sort. Eg: Comptuer screen, or television. How do you stop the lines from coming through on the screen.

2/ One of the rules for the Drama Fest entry is that the footage is filmed on either a DVX or HVX..something. I assume this is all the time. Though what if a difficult shot was required where say it needed to be somehow on a helicopter that was not a DVX or HVABC whatever. And then say if you could not get a chopper to do the shot.
Would a 4ft remote control plane with cameras mounted on it at 100ft going 30mph across landscape. Be breaking the rules of only using a DVX? Obviously because I do not want to mount a £2500 camera onto a remote control plane in them conditions.

3/ With the exception of some websites mentioned in another thread. Is there a general place where you can hire a Visual/Special effects team of some sort. Also some place where writers are looking to write scripts. Just wondering.

4/ I believe there is no rule on only one entry apparnetly. So it is possible to enter 2 films? Just wanted to be sure. Again.

Thats mainly it.

1. Shutter speed

2. I guess you could ask Jarred by PM since it's a special case but not sure, probably you can since you can always use stock footage as well as long as it is about 5% of your movie.

4. Yes you can always do that, I did it last time and....who knows....maybe...this time

It depends upon the monitor or screen you are shooting. The drifting frame break you often see is a result of a different scan rate between the monitor and the camera shutter speed. There are a number of ways to adjust the scan rate to eliminate the frame break, however, if you can use a non-raster scan monitor you can shoot without that problem.

We had this come up in Horrorfest. If the substantial part of your film is shot on a qualifying camera, no problem. I used a little mini-DV mounted on an RC car to be a "snake-eye's view cam" and it was considered merely an effect - just as your shot would be.

You can find people willing to help if you go to some of the FX-based forums and post a polite description of the FX you need and explain you are doing a film for a festival submission. One of the biggest is www.CGTalk.com. You can also PM me and tell me what FX you are needing and I can try to help you find who you need.

Yes, several people have entered more than one film.
