Still working on a title. But this is my third change to my dramafest entry. but this is FINAL. im very excited for this one.

I took the time to write a shot by shot including everything synopsis, and its projected at about 20 minutes... so i gotta cut that down lol. im sure ill make it work. I already have my actors, and assistants, and composer.

I'm probably gonna have the script done by the end of this week.

heres the plot:
a lonely high school boy stumbles on some graffiti in the womens restroom. the graffiti is a message reaching out to someone. the boy responds to the message and an odd relation ensues. but what happens when they arrange a meeting?

its pretty cool, and I have to build a bathroom set because i dont know of anywhere where i can graffiti a wall and not get in trouble (seeing as im only 17) but thats part of the fun!

some other notes:
- Ill be using the DVX100a, and REDROCK M2.
- as of now I have home depot lights, but theyre working pretty swell for me, so well see how that works.
-There are i think about 5 characters:
-the boy
-his mother
-his father
-his sister
-the person writing the messages
- as well as a slew of random high school kids and teachers in the background.

this is probably going to be my biggest production to date (length because im shooting the whole thing, but making a special drama fest version, number of actors, and the fact that im building a set!)

as you can probably tell im very excited, and im hoping to post more info at least once a week.

so heres to drama fest! good luck everyone!

Sounds good and there is nothing wrong with home depot lights :) I like the concept. Good luck.

Looks great...what seems to be simple is sometimes the hardest part, deciding the title:)...looking forward for it...good luck!!!

Usually I think of the title before anything else, but this time around it is a little difficult due to this being my first drama. With horror, everything seems to fall into place a lot easier. I am interested to see your entry though, along with all the others, seeing how drama is not really the most popular genre. good luck.

yeah i really think this is going to be one of the most interesting contests. the past ones have been oh nice shot, or great fx, but this one has to be different because the focus is the acting and the story. its a whole new world!

To me the title is also the hardest part, something that will be easy to remember and recognize but also sound good. You name it something simple like, "Graffiti" or "Messages", but hey, like I said it's one of the hardest parts for me too.

I haven't had a chance to wish you good luck yet, so let me first do that. And sorry I am just now getting to it!

That really is quite an interesting concept you have going on. There are really several directions it could go. I am interested to see how you flesh it all out.

Titles.... Hmm.... Yeah. I got nothin'. Sorry. If I think of anything, I'll pass it along, if you're interested.

Best wishes,
Jason

Building a set can be a lot of fun, but couldn't you just use something like invisible scotch tape to protect the wall? I would think that with proper lighting it would look as though the graffiti is real.
